John’s Story, In His Own Words

"So, the dental problems that I had was really bad tooth decay. I had black spots all over.
"I really wasn't smiling and didn't enjoy talking to people. I would try to avoid any conversations. I didn't have any self-confidence at all.
"I really struggled trying to get jobs or talk to people professionally, or have any kind of new relationships or anything like that.
"The biggest thing was the pain. It got to a point where, I couldn't really take it anymore. So I just, I had to get had to get something done.
"I had been to multiple dentists before I had found Dr. Wassef. The other dentists I had went to gave me some similar. They wanted me to do all-on-4s. Some had suggested, like dentures. Nothing that I was really interested in.
"I didn't want to have something I would have to take it in and out every day, or have a lot of maintenance and a lot of work and upkeep. Something like that. So I was looking for something that I'd be comfortable smiling and something that looked, you know, real and natural.
"I found Dr. Wassef and his practice just by going on Google, and I was looking for various different dentists that were close to me and in my area. So I was looking for somebody that had prior experience and like some pictures I could look at and stuff like that. And I knew he would do good work.
"And when I, when I found him, I knew I was in the right place. I had spoke with Dr. Wassef and on the first [visit] we came up with the plan. Made me feel like I could keep my own teeth and, you know, work with what I have.
"The plan we had came up with was the full mouth reconstruction (instead of the implants or dentures), and just do root canals and caps and crowns on all my existing teeth.
"When I saw my smile for the first time, I was ecstatic, blown away.
"The biggest change, I would say, is absolutely the pain and just the comfortability and being able to eat pretty much whatever I want and not even really think about it.
"And the most life changing thing is just having self-confidence again and being able to go out in public and not feel ashamed of myself or have to worry about if I'm smiling and people are looking at me and you know, this or that, and just having the confidence again is a huge thing for me."
