"I was just so turned off by how other dentists treat me that I prolonged it, and I, I really didn't go much at all.
"Diagnosed me with, I think it was gum disease, so they wanted to, one dentist wanted me to remove all of them and just get upper and lower dentures and leave it at that. When I brought up the implant, they, like, brushed me off.
"I mean, as far back as I can remember, and when I was younger, they were fine. You know, life started happening. I had to grow up and get a job and do things that I wasn't normally used to. So I took my thoughts off of health and me and focused more on how to survive.
"My gums would bleed. And then after Covid, I noticed that they were, just, my teeth were actually falling off. It really took a toll on me. I didn't hang out with family. I could not take my kids anywhere.
"I... sorry... working made it very difficult because I deal with patients, so I want to care for them as much as I can. And I couldn't do that. I couldn't speak to them. I couldn't even take care of my family the way I wanted to. So I made it really hard.
"I was just sitting on my sofa one day, going through Instagram, trying to find, on the internet, trying to find a good doctor. And God led me to Dr. Wassef.
"When we first sat down with each other, I had my x-rays done, and he broke down a couple of ways that we could have went about it.
"But once I first heard him say that I did need upper and lower, I knew right away that he was not beating around the bush. He was straightforward and honest. And that's something that I appreciate, because you go to different dentist and they just want to get you in and out. But Dr. Wassef did not.
"He helped me, really, at a point when I needed it more than ever. Like I never thought after so many years of me looking and searching for that right dentist, that I thought I would never be able to smile again, or ever have my confidence to be a mom the way I should or work. And it was just awesome. It's overwhelming."
